Tampa Bay Fruit Farm where a passion for tropical fruits runs deep in our roots.

My love for farming began early, as I grew up with both sets of grandparents who had fruit trees in their backyards. Climbing orange, tangerine, and avocado trees to drop fruit down to my sister was a cherished childhood activity.

It was during these formative years that my grandfather shared his wisdom on grafting avocado trees. I fondly remember perching atop his roof, picking fruit as he aged, and honing this skill that would become a central part of my life.

In January of 2018, a harsh cold spell devastated many of my backyard trees, leading me to seek a warmer climate. Determined to grow tropical fruit without the constraints of zone limitations, I embarked on a journey up and down the coast. I searched for areas where mango flowers remained untouched by frost (which occurs at 35 degrees), ensuring the climate was ideal for my dream.

Today, I run Tampa Bay Fruit Farm with the help of my three kids and supportive wife. Together, we cultivate a diverse range of organic mangoes, avocados, and other tropical fruits, alongside our thriving apiary that produces organic local honey. For us, this is not just a business; it's a way of life, a continuation of a legacy, and a commitment to sustainable, organic farming practices.
